  • Zero Media Storage: 4Tik never downloads, stores, or hosts your actual video files. All media stays exclusively on TikTok servers.
  • Read-Only Access: We only request read access to publicly available performance numbers, retention graphs, captions, and sound titles.

When you create an account and authenticate your TikTok profile with 4Tik, we collect the following limited data points:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, password hash (via bcrypt), and chosen plan.
  • TikTok Performance Metadata: Public view counts, like counts, share counts, retention drop-off percentages, video durations, caption texts, and audio track IDs.
  • Authentication Tokens: Encrypted OAuth access tokens used strictly to fetch analytical metrics on your behalf.

2. Information We Never Collect

To maintain the highest tier of creator privacy:

  • We do NOT store or download MP4/video files.
  • We do NOT access your direct messages or private inbox.
  • We do NOT request posting or editing permissions on your account.

4. Data Security & Encryption

All communications between your browser, our servers, and the TikTok API are encrypted with industry-standard TLS 1.3 / 256-bit SSL encryption. All database credentials and OAuth tokens are stored in secure, encrypted vaults with strict access isolation.
